Welcome to SatMax freeview website

How do I get freeview

You can get freeview by purchasing a freeview approved satellite receiver or purchasing a standard free to air satellite receiver (DVB-S compliant) and connecting it to a satellite dish system pointed to the Optus D1 satellite.

If you have a satellite dish already pointing to Optus D1 (as used by Sky TV) then this dish may be suitable to receive the freeview signals,

But here at SatMax we recommend that you install a separate satellite dish for freeview if you are a current SKY TV Subscriber.

You could either install  the satellite dish your self  ! SatMax sells a DIY satellite dish kit !

or you could ask for one of our friendly technicians around New Zealand to come and install the dish system for you.

Choosing a receiver

You can either purchase a freeview approved satellite receiver or choose from our range of receivers including the PVR recorder boxes with twin tuner - like a MY SKY for freeview.

  • All our satellite receivers are fully DVB-S compliant.
